For most courses, the final grade for the course is determined by the weighted letter grades of the student’s attendance and exams (midterms and finals).
The letter grade of student’s attendance for the session is converted from the quotient of number of days present over the number of course days scheduled according to the Grade Conversion Table.
The student is marked as tardy should he/she miss more than 5 minutes but less than 50% of the scheduled class time due to late arrival or early departure. Four tardies are equivalent to one absence.
An example of a course grading rubric is as follows:
Course Grade = 20% (Midterm) + 40% (Final) + 40% (Attendance)
