Faculty

POLY faculty members all hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and typically have at least two years of teaching experience. In addition, many hold TESOL, CELTA or other teaching certificates. POLY faculty receives ongoing training on a continuous basis. They attend in-service training every quarter to fine-tune their teaching styles and to create fresh approaches to the material taught. To assist faculty members to continually self evaluate, POLY conducts student surveys so our faculty may better understand students’ expectations and find innovative and interesting ways to improve the curriculum. As the measure of our success is the satisfaction of our students, our instructors are expected to offer language instruction that is effective and motivating.
