Accommodation Arrangement Service

We will assist you in finding appropriate housing during your stay at POLY - American Homestay, POLY Dormitory or Boarding house. You may request the Accommodation Arrangement Service at the time of completing the Application for Admission and making the payment at least 20 days prior to your planned move in date so that we can arrange the most appropriate accommodation available.

This service fee is refundable only if you cancel the service in writing, 15 days prior to your scheduled move in date.  Any changes to the accommodation option must be made in writing.  There may be a fee of $75.00 as a rebooking fee.  Please contact us for the changes.

Accommodation Options

For all accommodation options, first month's rent and a possible security deposit are required prior to your move in.  Please make sure that you have this payment prepared in the form of cash, traveler's check, or personal check in U.S. dollars.  All rent and any deposit are paid directly to the host.

I. Dormitory for Irvine and Pasadena Campuses

A dormitory, exclusively for POLY students, is available for students at our Irvine and Pasadena Campuses.  The Irvine dormitory is situated 4.5 miles from the Irvine campus and is easily accessible by bus. The Pasadena dormitory is located less than a mile (0.9) from the Pasadena campus and is within walking distance as well as accessible by bus. Dormitory rooms are furnished with bed (linen not included) and desk. Facilities also include T.V., computer with internet access, telephone, refrigerator, and laundry facilities. Meals are not included, but students have full kitchen access.

II. American Homestay Family

Description: POLY can arrange an American family homestay for our students. Homestay arrangements typically include two meals per day (breakfast and dinner), a private room, and a private or shared bath (depending on the accommodation). Homestay families are located within a short distance from POLY.

III. Boarding House for Los Angeles Campus

A boarding house accommodation is available only for Los Angeles campus. The boarding house is not exclusively for POLY students. Such as, you can expect many of your neighbors to be non-POLY students. The boarding house is located within 2 miles from the campus and is easily accessible by bus.

The boarding house is owned and operated by an independent company.
